Customer Reviews and Description The Warrens have accomplished a tremendous public service in the writing of this book. While I whole-heatedly agree that the pursuit of a good school district has forced working families to make the financial decisions that lead many to place themselves in precarious positions, I feel they are slightly off by not acknowledging the tremendous bite taxes are taking on working families.

Customer Reviews and Description My daughter (almost 2 years old) adores this book! We borrowed it from our library and it quickly became a part of her bedtime routine. It is simple with not a lot of overwhelming colors, patterns, shapes, etc. Just the alphabet and some cute dogs. It has helped us in teaching her to pronunciate her letters. I had to add it to her Amazon wish list because I'm not sure we can give it back to the library? lol

Customer Reviews and Description First of all, this book was horribly written. All the lines coming out of the characters mouths were cheesy and predictable. This woman is not a writer. Next, the whole premise for the book is unrealistic. The big secret a presidential candidate had to hide was that he'd adopted a child... Wow, what a horrible thing to do. The idea that the politician's staff would then try and kill the biological father to erase the problem is stupid. After many books read, this is the first time I've felt compelled to write ... Customer Reviews and Description Bill Cosby's warm and gentle humor is a pleasure to read, and his observations on the travails of parenting will ring true to almost any parent. He highlights kids who don't listen, kids who don't study, kids who won't move out -- and he admits to having a soft heart for all of them. While there are few hard laughs in this book, there are many chuckles and knowing smiles.

Customer Reviews and Description The title of this book should actually be "Speech making by Ronald Reagan" because only about 1/4 of the book deals with the battle for Pointe du Hoc. Most of the book champions the speechmaking ability of the former president. The battle description that it does have is pretty dry and lifeless.

Customer Reviews and Description John Ferling ambitiously sets out in this book to cover an extensive and rich period of American history. As his chapter titles suggest, the period covered spans from 1754 to 1801. I chose this book instead of Robert Middlekauff's Glorious Cause as an introduction to America's founding because it goes beyond the ratification of the Constitution (where Glorious Cause ends) to cover the contest between Federalists and Republicans and the presidencies of Washington and Adams. I wanted a comprehensive survey of the period and Ferling certainly delivered. ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description
