Customer Reviews and Description Even though there aren't many words to read and the book is a little busy with so much going on in pictures, my 15 month old still loves Elmo. She loves books. This isn't her favorite book, but it's okay for a quick look.

Customer Reviews and Description My son just started Kindergarten about 3 months ago, he just turned six. I had taught him chess, and many other logical skills (I'm an engineer) but neglected to nurture his reading needs. After his first semester review I was shocked to find out that he was struggling with is site words. The day I got home from his school I ordered all the Bob's Books.

Customer Reviews and Description My kids (4 and 6) love The Magic Treehouse books. These CDs were a treat so they could continue to "read" after the lights are out. The only drawback: my 4-year-old son gets so involved in the stories that he has had hard time falling asleep. I worried the kids wouldn't want to listen once they'd read the books one time -- not a concern ... we listen over and over and over.

Customer Reviews and Description Take it from one who grew up -- and still lives -- across the street from a pond, Joyce Sidman knows pond life! With the beautiful, strong first poem "Listen to Me" about the peeper frogs waking in the spring, SONG OF THE WATER BOATMAN introduces readers to all aspects of pond life, from cattails to painted turtles to the food chain. In addition to poems written a variety of styles, Sidman also includes a paragraph of interesting facts about the subject. And it's all capped off with the Caldecott-honor-worthy woodcuts ... Customer Reviews and Description I read this book last year in my English class. I really didn't want to read it. It was about war and for some reason I forced myself to believe that this book was going to be absolutely horrible. I was definetly wrong.

Customer Reviews and Description I wish I had had this book when my son was little. It is a great book for small children to learn from and to tell about themselves at the same time. I plan to use portions of it to base a scrapbook on to give to the small children in my family so they can create their very own memory book about themselves.

Customer Reviews and Description I have recommended this book over and over again...almost as many times as my daughter has requested this story as her nighttime read. A very beautiful story about carefully choosing the receipient of a gift that can never be regained once it is given. And it is miraculously done without a tone of lecturing or parental posturing.

Customer Reviews and Description I thought Avalon High was a very good book. It tells the story of Ellie, a girl whose just moved to a new state and a new school. A girl who loves pool rafts and hates her namesake, Elaine of Astolat, the Lady of Shalott (Or in other words Sir Lancelot's first love, who killed herself because he liked Queen Guinevere better).
