Customer Reviews and Description Wow this book was awsome! It was not only a very interesting read, but it also gives wonderful training tips and ideas. In this book Mark Rashid dosn't just write a how to manual. He writes a story describing the lessons he has learned, and what brought him (and the horses that brought him) to his current training methods. He also leaves room for you to come up with your own training ideas, to personalize to your horse. A great book that was worth the $$$$!

Customer Reviews and Description While I am usually quite pleased with the "for dummies" type of books because they are truly a "reference for the rest of us," this one does not deliver on the latter promise. While it is fun to read and easy to understand, I learned nothing from reading this and I am only a casual fisherman at best, going on what my dad taught me over 25 years ago when I was just a boy. I think if you had no idea what you were doing at all this might be a good "get started" book, but if you know what a rod and reel ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description This is the seminal reference on the widely invoked "12 Principles of Green Chemistry." This book is written by cofounders of the EPA Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award,": a Synthetic Chemist and an expert in Environmental Policy. This book is unique in delivering a broad purview of industry practices as it pertains to the environment in a succinct manner. This is enabled by the distillation of the "12 Principles" which is an excellent organizing scheme. A key finding is the interdependency ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description This is an excellent book for sorting out and identifying those tricky birds that are difficult to distinguish from one another. It is aimed at beginners and intermediates, but still provides helpful points for advanced birders. Julie Zickafoose does an beautiful job at the illustrations, and Bill Thompson clearly outlines the differences between similar species. This is a good book to own if you are having troubles with identifications.

Customer Reviews and Description One can appreciated the authors' long experience with marine aquaria who elegantly and with simple language explained larger biological concepts yet provide detailed instructions on how do to what and why. Very inspiring are the suggested biotopes that include among others "seagrass aquarium", "reef gorge aquarium", "pizza anemone aquarium", "rubble zone aquarium" as well as the standard reef tank. These are refreshing ideas that are needed with the current predominance of grocery store shelf-like stocked, overcrowded ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description It is important to know that even though this book may seem fictional, in truth, Tom Brown's account of his early childhood, The Tracker, is a non-fiction narrative. There are many details of the book to make one think it is fiction, but it should be remembered that our narrator was only a child and a young man during the events of this narrative. Tom Brown did an excellent job portraying the way a child should feel and act in the given situations, even though they had happened years before. It is easy to tell that Stalking ...
