Customer Reviews and Description My preference overall in terms of derm texts is Habif, mostly due to organization, but this one comes in a close second. Lots of great pics and simple straightforward explanations (sometimes a little too simple). Also probably a great book for laypeople with some knowledge of medical terminology.

Customer Reviews and Description Patrick Carnes has been a grounder-breaker in every sense concerning sexual addiction. I feel ambivalent about this offering, however. I think on the whole it's a stronger book for addicts than for codependents. The material seems to revolve around addiction with co-addiction serving as an afterthought, both figuratively and literally. As a recovering codependent, I yearn for materials that address my issues head-on instead of relating me to the addicts in my life. Something about this material makes ... Customer Reviews and Description This book clearly and concisely teaches all aspects of anatomy. Not too much depth, but definately not too little. Others have complained about the pictures. Yes, they are Grants and I agree that Netters are much better, however, these illustrations do instruct well.

Customer Reviews and Description This book is a must have for children of borderline mothers. My sisters and I have found this book very helpful in dealing with our mother. I don't know how the author was able to get this book so perfect on how it is to live with a borderline mother and how to best deal with what she does to you. There are even passages in the book that are word for word correct for verbal abuse during childhood. This book has been by far the most helpful and healing out of all books I have read on the subject.

Customer Reviews and Description Being new to the field of medical transcription, this book did a great job of exposing me to how words are constructed. It breaks them down and helped me to learn the impressive vocabulary that's required. It's been a wonderful asset!!

Customer Reviews and Description This is a very good, well written, and detailed introduction to qi gong. The different aspects of the art are presented, including relating it to western medical theory. The author writes with very little ego and the art is presented fairly and objectively. Overall a fine intro to the subject and well deserving of the five star ratings people are giving it.

Customer Reviews and Description i read this book when i was doing research on depression, OCD and other related disorders, for a novel i was working on. this book is good if you want to get into the mind of a manic-depressive and see how they live and relate to other people. but wurtzel, herself, i have developed an aversion to as well as her work. much of the time, she comes off as whiny and self-absorbed. nothing more than a bitchy child of white privilege, who wants people to feel sorry for her. i have little sympathy for ivy-league kids, who've ...
