Customer Reviews and Description I got this book a few years agoat a book signing in Traverse City. It is an excellent portrait of life in a family, with some wonderful illustrations. I especially liked the telling of some of the story from the viewpoint of "Andy", the young boy, who, as it happens, is modeled qute a bit after my close friend Frank Perkins, whom the cat is named after.

Customer Reviews and Description While there certainly are other options to understanding parliamentary procedure, "Robert's Rules of Order" is a traditional key to knowing the ways things are done. This is the book, with a leather binding. The leather is its strength and weakness.

Customer Reviews and Description I have several children's atlases on my shelf and this has got to be bar far the best for the younger children. Plenty of great information in short sharp sound bites, but just the sort of stuff you WANT to know! I love it and was so impressed to find a book that covered information about EVERY country in the world, + added extras to help with general mapping skills. Like I say FANTASTIC!!

Customer Reviews and Description No one who calls himself an American can afford not to read this book. Peterson lays it on the line: the Democrats and the Republicans are now in a co-dependent relationship over paying for Social Security and Medicare that is bankrupting America's future. Peterson's analysis of how we got into this mess is great. I especially liked his historical review of the attitudes of America's founders toward public debt. I believe that Social Security and Medicare have effectively created an aristocratic leisure class of ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description I am a Frank Peretti fan. I loved both Darkness books, the Oath, and the Visitation. (Never read his teen books). But I didn't particularly care for Prophet, and I didn't really like Monster either - for similar reasons. Both had plots that were too easy to figure out, and poor characterization. Monster actually starts out pretty suspenseful. However, by the middle of the book, when Cap starts meeting with his former university colleagues, the direction of the plot became easy to foresee and the suspense died.

Customer Reviews and Description I thought this book would be a very long legal trial, but it wasn't, and I enjoyed it very, very much. It had me turning the pages as fast as I could, and was very difficult to put down.

Customer Reviews and Description I am a grandmother of sixteen grandchildren, eight boys and eight girls ranging in age from newborn to ten years. I just completed a two month journey through twenty two states reading Louella May She Run Away to my grandchildren, their parents and to their young friends. From the East Coast, through the South, the Mid-West and across North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and home to California, this story was a huge success. I watched young and old alike fall into the rythum of this tale and cry out the rhyming words as the pages ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description
