It teaches parents basically to do EVERYTHING with loving care and both baby and you will grow to know eachother, and be able to READ and respond to eachother very well. It is an easy read...if you have time...I've only read a few chapters...I have a VERY needy baby. Too bad this doesn't come in video format...I could knock out a lot of chapters in one day just by listening to the TV. I can only give it 4 stars since I haven't read the whole thing yet.

I ended up doing a modified Ferber: we let him cry for one minute at a time. I AM beginning to see a pattern string of positive reviews after each negative and I doubt they are written by real readers.
