Customer Reviews and Description I liked this particular book and have found it to be most helpful. I do suggest it be used as a supplement with other books though in that is is lacking in different areas. It is certainly a good quick reference guide and I am glad I own it but I certainly would not like it to be the one and only orchid book in my collection. You certainly cannot go wrong in it's purchase though and I highly recommend.

Customer Reviews and Description Read this collection of short stories, if you want a quick and easy read. Don't expect much and you will not be disappointed. And besides I only purchased it to read the Sherrily Kenyon short story, so I was not THAT disappointed.

Customer Reviews and Description Ida B always had a perfect life. Everyday she talked to trees. Ever since she was a little girl she called each tree by name. She almost had a whole forest to herself that her mama and daddy owned. THe only responsibility Ida B had was to dry the dishes. Ida B tried to get out of that by telling her dad that she never has enough time to play. Before Ida B left the house she almost always gradded a piece of paper and a pencil and went to a stream and built a raft. Then she wrote notes on the paper ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description This is a wonderful book about Jesus. Although the title implies that you will only read about his last day on earth, you will actually read about much more than that. There is one section that skips clear back to the day he was born and other sections that cover other times in his life. There are sections that give descriptions of the geographical area, the lifestyle of the people, the rulers and the religious leaders of the time, and much more. All descriptions are factual and very interesting. Only recently ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description WOW!!! This book was just SO unique and original and thought provoking and very entertaining! I am completely floored by the response of one reviewer who thought that it was "dull"! No way! Not in my opinion anyhow! Sorry for all the exclamation marks, but wow, I really think this is the best book I have ever read. In fact, I wish I could give it more than 5 stars - wouldn't it be neat if once in a while we were allowed to give books an extra gold star, sort of like extra credit? If we could, I would. ;) You get the ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description After Blind Alley, I swore I'd never read another Johanssen novel, but I thought I'd give her one more chance. Big mistake. What happened to this author? Why has her writing gone downhill so badly? Is it because Jane (a very immature, unlikeable character) is now the focus? Is it because the plots have become goofy and implausible? Does she have a guarantee that she'll be published no matter what she writes? If "Countdown" and "Blind Alley" are the best she has left, she's running on empty.
