Customer Reviews and Description I have practiced estate planning, with an emphasis on asset protection planning, for many years. This book's explanation of various asset protection techniques, many of which I have used in my own practice, is both lucid and thorough. Not only will experienced practitioners find the book to be an invaluable source, but beginners too will discover a text that is highly readable and easy to understand. I am confident saying that Asset Protection spans "the universe" of such techniques, with both analysis ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description This book is just plain great from top to bottom. Damodaran makes it easy to get both the "bird's eye view" as well as the nitty gritty detail you want in a corporate finance text. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something beyond an elementary understanding of finance.

Customer Reviews and Description I am a new manager in a very large company. I purchased this book and another to help me learn how to deal with people, especially the ones with whom I used to work that now work for me. The book reads like a self-help book for a 10 year old with review questions at the end of each chapter. Also, it is very touchy-feely. The author wants you to treat your subordinates like your very best friends. I found some good pointers from the book, though not very many.

Customer Reviews and Description I always thought that having goals was overrated. Things change in our lives all the time. What I desired in my twenties are not the same things I aspired to in my 30's, 40's, and now 50's. The journeys have been far more engaging than the things I achieved. I found when I reached a goal, I felt empty, almost sad.It was not a beginning at all-it was an end! Today always brings another challange, another opportunity. As Joseph Campbell says, we are all on a Hero's Journey. We fight the good fight, battle through ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description Broadbent and Kitzis have produced a remarkable work. I have found their work to be like a capstone, integrating many streams of thought that have gone before. Unfortunately, the work suffers from lack of awareness of the leadership literature. "The Leadership Challenge" by Kouzes & Posner predates this work by more than 3 years, yet Broadbent and Kitzis, while seemingly familiar with "The Leadership Challenge" do not acknowledge their debt. Readers who enjoy "The New CIO Leader" will benefit from Kouzes and Posner's ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description This book is written on the level of People magazine and has a very trendy feel to it. I used this book at a top 25 law school and found it to be largely useless, if not detrimental.

Customer Reviews and Description It is a book that should be owned definitely by every parent, and also by everyone. It helps with understanding of how and why we came here, why we are who we are, and how to make it better for our kids and actually for every one around us. It describes how a family should treat our kids with respect and freedom. It is one book which I think is a must read. It gives insight into how we can change despite of bad experiences while we grew up. I would recommend it to be bought before buying a crib when you expect a baby! It is like a bible ...
