Customer Reviews and Description An adventurous tale indeed! Most Boys and girls will love the story of a young boy who wakes up to a real baby dinosaur at his bedroom window. The subsequent journey back through time to return the little guy to his parents is not lacking in excitement at all. They meet various creatures from the ice age, the age of mammals, and the cretacious period. And the boy and his dino develop a strong friendship. The illustrations are so realistic and warm. We love this book!

Customer Reviews and Description This was my two-year-old's favorite book; for some time he and it were inseparable. Bold, simple illustrations on bright backgrounds make a terrific fist visual introduction to the process dinosaur bones undergo for extraction, study, and display. Thanks to this book, mine was the only toddler in his peer group who could identify a paleontologist and explain what one des. Inspired by the story, to this day one of his favorite games is to "dig" for imaginary dinosaur bones in the sand, "wrap" them, ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description Although this book may not cover EVERY detail about back country survival, it definitely gives some good pointers whether a person is in a large group or a small one.

Customer Reviews and Description I just finished Arlene's book. I quite liked it. I felt as if she was writing my life in a way (reed student, awkward kid, love of the mountains, clumsy relationships, scientist in a world of men, travel, perserverance, failure, some success all that stuff) but that is what good books are about, touching on core experiences that many can relate to. It is a coming of age memoir, my current favorite type of book.

Customer Reviews and Description It is over a hundred years since Darwin revealed to us our animal lineage, and yet the human primate is still having difficulty coming to terms with its animal origins. All bar creationists may indeed now accept that we are descended from apes, but most of us still cling to the belief that we have somehow become different to the rest of the animal kingdom. Our ability to use language and reason, to see ourselves as selves, selves that move forward in time and, with other selves, progress by building ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description I read Anyone Can Be An Expert Skier 1 and also had the DVD. There was no question as to whether I should get this second volume. I have to say, this season I've decided to stick with one learning method and PMTS is it. And this season, I'm skiing better than ever. I've even had the opportunity to ski with one of Mr. Harb's colleagues and be taught the method firsthand as well. I can say, it's even simpler than it looks in the books.

Customer Reviews and Description This guide was a total disappointment. I have never been a fan of Lonely Planet guides but since they are popular you can get them cheap second hand. I always end up taking one with me wherever I travel but this is the first one I threw away because I didn't want to carry the weight around.

Customer Reviews and Description If you expect a technical book, or a step-by-step one, you'll rather other authors. But if you want to be inspired as in the skin of the author, this is your book. Outstanding photos with outstanding text where Galen explains how he got in that location, at that moment and how he got inspired. If you wanna be a landscape photographer, that's your book!
