Customer Reviews and Description This is an excellent book, which gives a thorough a balanced account of the Clinton presidency. The author gives good details about all of the controversies of this period ("Travelgate", "Whitewater", the numerous guest stays at the White House, etc.), so that the reader can get the facts about these events. We also get good information about many of Clinton's advisors, staff, and cabinet and who was influential and why and what the Clintons thought of them (e.g., George Stephanopoulos, Dick Morris, ... Customer Reviews and Description I am profoundly grateful that the Nearings took the time and trouble to write this book. I am trying something similar in North Central Florida, and while their conditions in New England were quite different in some ways (a shorter growing season, and the availablity of stone are examples), their advice, enthusiasm and encouragement across the years are a great comfort, as well as a good read (by oil lamp!). This is an American Classic, and should never be forgotten.

Customer Reviews and Description contineously zionest snakes spit out their poisons. One reviewer wrote "the Arabs have been trading christian slaves for 1500 years ago", well, 1500 years ago THERE WAS No Islam and No arabs there and no Chrestians. The people of that regions are African tribes whom adopted Arab language. That happened several hundered of years ago. YOU CANT SAY about all East African nations they are HALF ARABS - because half the SWAHILY language is Arabic. Since the down of history it has been the custom among premative tribes ... Customer Reviews and Description When you crack open a 500 page book, it better be good. This biography of Harper's Bazaar fashion editor Carmel Snow is everything a heavy tome should be: entertaining, insightful, and thouroughly researched. The writing style is a perfect match for the subject matter: Penelope Rowlands' prose is as sharply defined as a couture garment, and, as a result, reading her book is the next best thing to actually owning a Dior original.

Riveting in its revelation about Anna Wintour's icy personality that even the sun cannot melt! Customer Reviews and Description Other than Maya's poems, I have never read her autobiographies. WOW barely describes what I read and felt. I always thought of Maya to be just what she is....a poet, an author. To read how her early life was, I see how her life's experiences brought her to where she is today. Not only does she speak honestly, her style of writing makes one feel they are her in the books. The size of the book may seem intimidating, but I could not put it down. I had to schedule myself to study for my class and read this book!

Customer Reviews and Description General Grant wrote his memoirs and they were probably the best account of a war written by a general. In reading other memoirs of the war one thinks of Grant and one is usually disapointed.
