Customer Reviews and Description The people who says this book doesn't understnad China doesn't understand China himself. Have they read the book? I am wondering. I have lived in China for 9 years and can say it is true sadly, in my experience. Even I am Chinese (Hong Kong), I feel it is true that the sport system is cruel in China. The sister of my friend was forced as a ping pang player although she had no interesting in it. Now she has no good job because her education was so little. It is cruel but she has no choice. Customer Reviews and Description I don't understand how an obviously talented man could craft a book that is, by his own account, somewhat of a catharsis for him, yet is so completely mundane and poorly written that it seems to literally be written by an untalented teenager.

Customer Reviews and Description This is an exceptionally moving book for anyone yearning to know more about Native American spirituality. Black Elk was truly a man filled with the holy spirit. It reminds me of the book, Walking the Trail, One Man's Journey Along the Cherokee Trail of Tears. Both are highly recommended.

Customer Reviews and Description I like that this book is written by Jerry Seinfeld himself. I love the tv show, and I love the book! The book is funny, and I even find myself laughing outloud. To me, seinfeld is a classic, since the jokes can be understood to all members of a family. You don't find many shows these days that are as good as "seinfeld." And this book is hilirious as well(and captures the comedy of Seinfeld), and it's also a quick and fun read:)

Customer Reviews and Description first of all, i would like to have it known that i am 15, and i had to read this book for AC Writing Workshop. the first 4 or 5 chapters are very dull. the next few chapters are mildly distrubing, for he gets molested, and it is hinted that other boys are getting raped. later on, the book gets better. this book is entertaining, but unrealistic, i highly disagree with its title as an autobiography, for there is no way many of these happenings could have taken place. if it was classified as a fictional story, ... Customer Reviews and Description I developed an interest in Schizophrenia after a special person in my life developed this illness. I have been reading everything trying to educate my self regarding this illness. After reading Ken Steele's book, I was heart broken to read about the lack of family support. The way his family turned their back on him was inexcusable and inhumane, but he forgave them. This book gives a deeper insight into the world of Schizophrenia because Steele actually conveys to the reader what was going on inside of his mind during ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description That title's not just the kickoff of the book but the state of the book itself. It's fast... really fast. I'm a slow reader and I cleared it in a couple sittings. That also suggests how engaging it is. There's something utterly captivating about what a shameless romp through Vegas these men have and I loved every sentence of it. Part of me is jealous of the drug addled adventure, part of me is revolted. In any case, I'm glad someone did it and they one upped that by sharing their story with the world. Thanks, Dr. Thompson.

Customer Reviews and Description If you like Lance Armstrong, you'll love this book!! I finished it within few days and waiting for next book to come out(I hope). If you have 'Tour de France' DVDs, you might want to watch it again because now you know what Armstrong was thinking while he was racing at the tour. Some of his tatics deceived our eyes.

Customer Reviews and Description This is a superb book. For those, like me, eager for more information on the ever-enigmatic Dylan, this is the book to read. It is a montage of recollections from musicians/photographers/friends, etc. over the years, which is about as close as one is likely to get to a true picture of Dylan's life to date. It is a bit confusing because the essays often cover similar periods of time, but from different eyes, but this also increases the veritas. The chronology also becomes a bit jumbled, but that is inevitable in this sort of format. ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description
