Customer Reviews and Description I've read most of the Foxfire series, they're all wonderful books. I picked this one to review, because it has such a varied amount of knowledge. The stories and information are priceless, but the people are what make these books so special. I would encourage anyone to read them, because the information inside is something that should never be forgotten.

Customer Reviews and Description I loved this book and especially the essay on writers and region. A true advocate for the community and individual people, the land and country. Interesting stuff and really fascinating to read. I have to admit, Berry's older essays are much better than his newer stuff. If one is looking for other good Berry essays, Art of the Commonplace is a great source of some of Berry's best stuff.

Customer Reviews and Description The lives of a cell is an alright book that has a outstanding information that you can use in everyday life. It has a lot of chapters in the book like every page there is always something important. The author Lewis Thomas did an ok job or arranging it. But I did not like the fact that your learning something and all of a sudden something random comes up and you are back about cells. It seems like a very interesting book. I learned a lot by reading this. This is a type of a book for a 20 year old person who is interested ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description okay all the typos and grammatical errors got to me too. this book has a lot of good information BUT I too, found incorrect information. Cervantes also contradicts himself a lot because in his articles in high times grow magazine, he says things that are total opposites from the book. i prefer his articles to this book BUT it did have some information that i found helpful. there has to be better stuff out there though.

Customer Reviews and Description Here is one of those often sought and rarely found works combining high intelligence, original thinking, and years of professional expertise. I had heard that Bill Gates liked this book, and while I cannot confirm this it would be understandable if true. Huber and Mills demonstrate that much energy is consumed to make higher quality energy, that energy utliization will continue to rise as it has in past centuries, and that sources of additional energy will be available to meet human needs for the foreseeable future. Customer Reviews and Description I lived in Costa Rica for several months over a couple of years while conducting research in Parque Nacional Tampanti. The book is good but a new edition is needed. I agree with several of the other reviewers that the size of the book is cumbersome but when you're birding in a country with 800+ bird species you should expect a big book. Here are my suggestions:
