Customer Reviews and Description Albert Speer was an enigmatic figure that strongly effected the potency and duration of the third riech's war effort. Though Speer was apparently a close associate of Adolf Hitler, his motives and intentions still remain as ambiguous as ever.

Customer Reviews and Description If you would like to see how the current empire being practiced by the United States government and big business came into being and was refined over a period of many years and who is it's ultimate godfather, this book is a must read. GHW Bush manipulated the presidency for more than the four years that he served in that capacity. For all practical purposes, he has been running this country at least since 1980 except for the Clinton years, and one could surmise that with the the investigations of Clinton ... Customer Reviews and Description This is a great book to give as a gift. It's small and compact, hardcover, with very nice thick glossy pages and full-color watercolors of cats. I gave it to my grandma when she couldn't read long books anymore. Each story is about a cat that the famous vet James Herriot knew and loved.

Customer Reviews and Description The authors seem to have had a very rough job while researching this book--it consists of nothing but big, big Hollywood bombs. I never thought it would be this fun reading about Battlefield Earth, Surviving Christmas, Mary Reilly and other tanks by Hollywood's biggest stars. Lots of interesting information. It's a page-turner.

Customer Reviews and Description I haven't read many biogrpahies on Leonardo Da Vinci. In fact this is the first one but based on other reviews here and from what I've read in the book myself - this has to be one of the very best Biography book on Leonardo Da Vinci, so I would highly recommend it to all.

Customer Reviews and Description This is an outstanding collection of true, personal accounts of how some of God's most famous servants were transformed into spiritual giants, even in the midst of their ministries. About twenty separate biographical briefs are included in this volume, all well researched and written in V. Raymond Edmun's typically easy-to-read style. The subjects' own words are quoted enough that the reader can empathize with their searching hearts, and join them in celebration as God fills them with His presence and power. If ... Customer Reviews and Description Mankind can promote technology and advancement in the name of science and at the same time treat his fellow humans with contempt and dishonesty in this way. How is that possible? It can only be described as Satanic. Mankind dominating man to his own injury. The stories from these innocent bystanders have touched my heart. I have never cried after reading a book before this one. The first hand accounts of this terrible accident transports you to the towns, villages and families, like our own, which were and are still effected. ... Read MoreRead Reviews and Description

Customer Reviews and Description Very well-written and some good insights. The author is perceptive and had some interesting experiences in 1990's China (change in China is so rapid that her account is historical, not contemporary, already). One forgets at times how young she is until she has to deal with a personal tragedy at the end of the book and reverts to childhood. The only flaw is that the author has been somewhat corrupted by political correctness which sometimes leads to paralysis in her thinking. She's a foreigner in China, just accept that and ... Customer Reviews and Description If you enjoyed John Sugden's "Nelson: A Dream of Glory," but are tired of waiting for the second volume, pick up this book for the rest of the story. Knight is as good as Sugden, and their styles are very similar.

Customer Reviews and Description A major failing of this essay, which claims to be non-fiction, is Kincaid's sole reliance on her own memories of Antigua. As an eye-witness, Kincaid has the chance to provide a unique perspective on the issues of slavery, corruption, tourism, colonialism, and SIDS (small island developing states). Yet, she ruins this chance, in my opinion, with her complete disregard of any perspective other than her own.
