I bought this book through Amazon mainly for the great deal it got me, and I am NOT AT ALL dissapointed in my purchase. I believe that it has improved my game significantly, but it is definately for NLHE. I tried using some of his strategies at the local card room, which only offers $2 fixed limit, but it doesn't work, because FLHE is a different monster. I am definately looking forward to the Little Blue Book, since I love the game of poker and Phil Gordon's style.

Rating: - Best little No Limit book out there
The focus of this book is on tournaments and specifically no limit hold em tournaments. I thought it was great for covering some good pointers on how to play the game. I've also read both volumes of Harrington on Hold Em and it was good to see what someone with a looser style suggests. If you're looking for a good tutorial on tournaments I'd get Harrington on Hold Em but after you've read those read this one.

At the risk of sounding trite, if you don't read any other book this year on No-Limit Hold 'em, make it this one. I was surprised by how well-written and informative this book is. Gordon explains in detail strategic considerations, betting, tells, etc. Although reading this book will not turn you into Doyle Brunson, it will improve your game.
