I really enjoyed this book on Lincoln. It shows what you can do when you go for the best people and not the people that agree with you on everything. This book led me to read MANHUNT and also now go back to NO ORDINARY TIME by Goodwin about FDR.

This book was a fantastic read. Despite its length, it kept me engaged and it presented the characters in a way that left you constantly curious to see what happened next. It's a great addition to Lincoln scholarship and an angle that even seasoned Lincoln readers will love. My only criticism and its a minor one is that I don't think Goodwin explored Lincoln's faith.
