My baby was not colicky, but I followed this book anyway. It worked beautifully. When my baby was a newborn, following the simple steps in this book would comfort him very quickly. He seemed to quickly learn to know that his needs would be met in a timely manner. I now have a very patient, happy seven month old on my hands. I would highly recommend this book to any parent.

Dr. Karp's advice in this book is rock-solid. He gives great advice to all mothers, and does not bias against anyone. Using the tips in this book helped my husband and I when our high-energy infant was keeping us up all hours of the night. Our child loved the soothing techniques. I recommend this book to any parent, even if their child is not having trouble sleeping, because it is packed with such excellent information.

I was at my wits end when my 4 week old was crying for 2-4 hour stretches at a time. This was the third sleep book I tried and the only one that gave solid, step-by-step instructions to get my baby to stop crying and fall asleep. The first night she slept for 5 hours in her crib. Amazing! A must have for all new parents, but especially those with fussy or colicky babies. It is worth any price.
