by: Eric Carle Average Rating: ![]() Product Description: 'In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf.' So begins Eric Carle's modern classic, Rating: - Childrens ReviewThis book is a great book. I am in 1st grade and know this book is about a caterpillar that eats a lot of food. I would recommend this book to children of all ages. My other family members also like to read this book because it tells about him eating till he makes a coccon and becomes a beautiful butterfly. Rating: - Great illustrations! This is such a wonderful book. This was one of my daughter's favorites. I loved it so much that I decorated my son's room (before he was born) with all the drawings from this book. He is now 3 and we can recite the story by heart and point at all the wonderful pictures on his wall. Rating: - Great book - this is our second copyMy son has loved this book since 6 months, he is now 15 months and this is his second copy (the first one was torn, eaten, etc....). It is a cute story and teaches nature, counting and of course reading. It has holes where the catepillar "ate" through things that my son really enjoys. Highly recommended.
